The short version
b.lo.c studio does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels, no profiling, and no cookies of our own. We collect what we need to answer an enquiry or send you a print, and nothing else. We have never sold personal information and will not.
Who we are
b.lo.c studio is the studio of Bryce Lowe-White, Los Angeles, California. For anything in this policy, write to hello@belowseastudio.com.
What we collect, and when
When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, the piece you asked about, and anything else you chose to enter — a studio or firm, a phone number, a message. Those fields are optional and only reach us if you fill them in.
When you place an order, we receive your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and what you bought. We never receive your card details: those go directly to Stripe, who process the payment. We can see that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card, nothing more.
Your cart is kept in your own browser and is not sent anywhere until you choose to check out. Clearing your browser data clears it.
What we do not collect
No analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising or third-party cookies. No behavioural profiling. We do not know which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, or where you came from.
Who else handles your information
To run the studio we rely on a few services, each of which sees only what it needs:
- Stripe — takes and processes payments. Your card details go to them and never to us.
- Formspree — receives enquiries from the forms on this site and passes them to us.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site. Like any web host, their servers record request information including IP addresses.
- Our print partner — receives your name, delivery address and what you ordered, so the work can be made and sent. They receive nothing else.
- jsDelivr — serves one small library this site uses for scrolling. Loading it means your IP address reaches them.
Each of these is bound by its own privacy terms. We do not give your information to anyone else, and we do not sell it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. The cart uses your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Stripe may set cookies on their own payment page, which is governed by their policy rather than ours.
How long we keep things
Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to it. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in the United States is generally seven years. You can ask us to delete anything not required by law.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@belowseastudio.com and we will answer within thirty days.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict it, the right to receive your data in a portable form, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here.
